Hair Removal

Laser hair removal is a way of permanently disabling hair follicles so that they weaken and stop growing. The process uses a concentrated beam of light (laser) to remove unwanted hair by heating the hair growing under our skin enough to destroy the cells that sustain hair. The light emitted is absorbed by the pigment in the hair, which makes medium to dark hair respond best. Although laser hair removal effectively delays hair growth for long periods, it requires regular treatments over a few months to a year to reach closer to 90% hair reduction because of your hair growth cycle.

Electrolysis hair removal is the method of using electricity to damage and destroy hair follicles and has been around for over a century. The method involves a very tiny probe inserted into the hair follicle then removing the hair with tweezers. Electrolysis can directly target the hair follicle. This makes it the preferred method to target more blond, white, or light-coloured hairs and is great for treating eyebrows, upper lips, and other smaller areas. The practitioner must treat the client one hair at a time during a session. Because of this, larger areas such as the legs and back might prefer faster methods to treat much more quickly.

Waxing is the process of removing the hair from the root by covering the area in melted wax adhering to the body hair then removing this wax covering and pulling the hair from the follicle. New hair will not grow back after waxing for about 4 to 6 weeks; however, some people will start to see regrowth in only a week due to their hair being on a different hair growth cycle. Waxing is great for small or large areas on almost any area of the body and its more affordable and a short-term solution.
